Hehehe -- I was just cleaning out my favorites, and I found the webpage of the guy who kept sending me threatening emails after my article on fake deer appeared in the campus newspaper.

I'll have to see if I can dig up the dialogue we had. That was fun. :)

That article for hunting fake deer was fantastic.

And this is coming from a confirmed pinko-vegan-treehugger.

Or at least a pinko-vegetarian-treehugger.

during my teenage years, any "tacky" lawn ornament, animal or otherwise, was endangered in my nieghborhood. we did not destroy them....we simply transplanted them to a mutually hated nieghbor's front lawn during the wee hours of night. his front lawn became a "tacky" refuge where pink flamingoes, wooden octagenerians bent over picking flowers and those fucking ducks made our of vacuum cleaner bags-windsock things could live without the fear of poachers.

There's some neighborhood in Florida, started by DisneyWorld, I think where pink flamingos are against the law. (Ok, maybe not the law, but the homeowners ass. will give you a hard time. No brightly colored curtains, either. The horror!)

I've often thought that episode was based on the Florida town. (I bet Disney wishes they'd come up with the subterranean monster idea as means of enforcement...)
