Yesterday Mary told me that she knew an old woman who broke a rib from coughing. I really didn't need to hear that.

I had walking pneumonia when I was in college. I was a waitress at this "health food" restaurant and would have to stiffle my hacking until I could get past the cooks line and in the back of the place. It was horrible. And yes... it can happen. My mother has the xrays in a file in the basement to prove it.

Go to the doctor and have them prescribe a cough suppresent stat. Trust me you won't regret it. A little cough syrup with codine. Priceless.
