Thought I'd better post and let y'all know I made it home OK. After those whacko posts I made from the road, you probably wouldn't have been surprised if you'd never heard from me again. :) But yep, I'm safe and sound in Connecticutland. Soooooooo glad I'm not driving today.

More later. I'm gonna go try to jack myself up with hot water.

I liked them. I liked the phone post where you were talking about CDs that are still good even though you've heard them a billion times -- like Nothing's Shocking, or S.O.D.. I also thought that ...And Justice for All is one of those albums (maybe). I know The Wall is one...

Definitely The Wall. If Metallica hadn't put such a bad taste in my mouth with their post-Justice stuff, Ride the Lightning and/or Master of Puppets would make the list. But it's hard for me to listen to those these days without feeling a little bitter.

Yep. No other band in the world has ever pissed me off more than Metallica because of what they turned themselves into after ...Justice. It still pisses me off 12 years later.

Aw, man. I forgot to listen to those phone posts, with all my computer nonsense and such. Glad you made it back safely to CT.

Thanks! Did you end up having to reformat and reinstall, or did your computer just decide to behave?

Say, a very cool package showed up in my inbox today! I actually stopped by this weekend to look for that and one other package, but they weren't in yet. I suspect the holidays slowed mail delivery on campus. Thanks so much for the book--it looks awesome! That's really nice of you--thanks, my friend. :)

>>I tried slapping it, but that didn't work. ;) I got that damn system error message no matter how many times I defragmented. Once I did the reformat, it was almost like having a new computer. *whew*

>>Glad to hear you're enjoying it. I had a feeling you would. \m/
