OK, it can be 10 degrees outside with no precipitation and I can stand my apartment with the heater on fairly low. But when it's 36 and raining outside, it gets fuggin' unbearably cold up in this mug even with the heater up higher. Explain.

Plenty, m'boy, but it's also plenty damp here...I'd try San Diego, only everybody tries there, too, so it's unaffordable. Here, it's rapidly becoming less so, but still not as bad as, oh, NYC or Boston or SF.

We're in a valley, inland, and we've seen the sun, um...let's see...once in the last month. It'll be like this for a few more weeks at least.

But hey: no snow at this elevation.
