wickedfleaI've been listening to Hotter than Hell in the car a lot lately. "Strange Ways" always kills me. You know, it was only recently that I realized that it's Peter Criss, not Ace Frehley, singing that tune. It's got Ace written all over it, and he wrote it, so I wonder why he didn't sing it. Maybe he wasn't ready to do lead vocals yet. Bad-ass tune, though, with a SICK backwards solo. The phrasing works out perfectly, but it has that distinctive backwards freaky sound. I dig "Watchin' You" too. For some reason I never realized how cool that song is until I finally saw KISS in concert back in '96. Egad, that's seven and a half years ago, and I had already been listening to them for almost 20 years at that point. Call me Methuselah.
I hate when I dream about things going on in real life. I wanna dream about . . . heck, I dunno, crazy shit, like riding mopeds and smoking reefer with the Banana Splits. But all I can dream about lately is stuff that's already on my mnd all day long. Like, you know, the pressing concerns in the poll below. Yeah, that's the ticket.
