there were two scenes in that movie that just made me laugh outloud for the completely wrong reasons. Terry Gilliam is brilliant.

I was reallllly scared when it came out, because FLLV is just about my favorite book in the world, and I was afraid it was going to suck. In fact, I'd promised myself I wasn't going to watch it, but of course I did--and was very pleasantly surprised! Depp's great in it, but Benicio just slays me. He nails Dr. Gonzo.

Criterion collection version: worth the crazy dough?

It wasn't all that crazy--I got it for $30, I think. But I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't watched the special features yet! It has a commentary by HST, so I'm thinking it has to be worth it. I'll let ya know!
