that's my friend Jake Weinstein with the accordion he's actually a really cool dude runs a recycling business and teaches street theatre/political circus. i did a Black Panther Party Cirkus show with him once. i was the tightrope walker and i also played "mully" in a skit featuring dimwit FBI agents "mully and sculder"... hehe... get it?... we had a great time and a GREAT turnout. we played brazilian samba drums and did some cool acrobatics and crap like that as the audience lined up to get into the show... good times.
he has a show at the little theatre on lincoln st (right behind audubon court, off trumbull st) on the 24th i believe- it's called "body burdens" or something like that and it's about breast cancer, the harmful effects of pollution, wellness, etc. it should be interesting.
last year jake and his circus troupe were doing some GREAT little shows on the green and they got kicked off by the International Festival of Arts and Ideas security guards. apparently it was illegal to do wandering street theatre (usually completely legal) during the festival. jerks!
