I was at the Yale Bookstore on my lunch break today, and who did I run into but good old Ralph Nader, who was there as part of his book tour. I heard him speak for ten minutes or so before I had to get back to work. I wish I'd known he was going to be there, because I would have liked to hear the whole thing. I actually voted for him back in the day. Doesn't that whole election debacle of 2000 seem like soooo long ago? And really, even though the results still make me sick, it seems almost . . . trivial. Weird.
