I feel like I left New Haven about, oh, a week and a half ago. It has been one LOOOOOOOOOONG day. Woke up at 4:00 to get dressed and drive to the airport for my 6 a.m. flight. 4.5 hours later (3.5 w/ the time change) I ended up in Birmingham and met the production manager from U of A Press.

Fuck. I don't feel like typing the whole thing out. Suffice it to say that I had what felt like very good interview sessions with just about everybody who works there, and left feeling pretty good about the whole thing. They've interviewed three other people, but certainly none of them can be as charming, intelligent, and drop-dead sexy as I, right right?

Speaking of sexy, check this out. See how my arms hang at my side in a somewhat gorilla-like fashion? That's pure sex. Take a good look, folks--this may be the only time you ever see me not wearing jeans and Chuck Taylors.



Thanks for the text messages yesterday. Y'all know who you are. :) I can't get into my email or receive text messages, so if ya sent me anything today, I probably ain't seen it.

I've been up for 22 hours. 'bout time to get my sleep on, I'd say.
