wickedflea: (where is this party?)

Have some tea. G'head, have some tea.

AHA! IT'S NOT TEA! IT'S WATER FROM MY KITCHEN FAUCET!

I spoke with the Regional Water Authority this morning and they said it was because of something that happened Saturday where the main pump went out and the secondary one kicked in, and then when the main one started again it caused a surge or something, and what I'm seeing is mineral deposits. She even suggested that it's SAFE TO DRINK. What the fuck do I do here??? Even if Saturday's incident is what's causing it to be so bad right now, that doesn't explain why I've been seeing these deposits on the bottom of my tub and sometimes getting black or brown water for the past SIX WEEKS. I should have complained long ago, but it was never this bad, and it would always clear up in a little while. But GAH. I can't even wash clothes because of this filth!

Blegh, that sucks! As far as cooking and drinking goes, I'd go by myself a few gallons of water, and about the shower....I'd rather hose myself down with deoderant and perfume than bathe in that!

Have you talked to your landlord as well?

Yeah, I talked to the property manager yesterday, and between her and the chick at the water authority, I dunno what to think.

I'm using bottled water, and I've been able to shower the last two mornings because it's been much better in the morning, but shit, if it continues to get worse, I dunno what I'm gonna do.

That, I think, is the best idea I've heard. Go for it! Then tell us all about the hilarity.

You know, people pay a lot of money at expensive spas to bathe in mud. Big whiney pants.

[seriously, that's just nastyass. i'm sorry you're having to deal with that crap. i think you should, if things don't clear up, call the news stations and get signatures and pitch a fucking hissy fit. >=(]
