Do they still make Boo Berry and Count Chocula and Franken Berry? I never even go down the cereal aisle, so I have no idea, though I have a vague notion that these cereals no longer dominate the market like they once did. Please, someone tell me they're still available. I could eat the hell out of some Boo Berry right now.

Hmmm, according to this page, it seems that Boo Berry is still made but isn't widely available. What kind of shit is that?

Actually, I'm sure I'd be disappointed if I ever did track it down. Most stuff like that is never as good as you remember it. One year at Halloween I drove far and wide looking for fucking Bottle Caps candy, and I finally found some, but they just weren't the same. Damn that.

You asked this question at the right time of year, at least. Franken Berry and Boo Berry are typically "seasonal" items in my part of the country, anyway, with Franken Berry actually being the harder of the two to obtain. However, at least until Halloween, Target (among other places) should have all 3, and Costco's been selling special 3-pack boxes of all 3 cereals for the past couple of years.

Good luck, grasshoppah.

I'm gonna have to go shopping. Probably won't be the same as I remember it, but I just gotta know.

Ugh, I got a can of Chef ravioli a couple of years ago and it was nasty as fuck. We never had it at my house, but I used to love it for lunch at other kids' houses. But yuk.

target sells 'em 'round halloween. yeah, boo berry's harder to find. i ordered a three-pack from general mills once, just because, and it was grody, true to form.

Something just goes wrong with the taste buds when we reach a certain age, I think. Look at what adults consume: scotch, anchovies, sauerkraut--all kinds of nasty shit. And Boo Berry stops tasting good. That's a crying shame.

DOOD. They sure did change the Bottle Caps, because the root beer ones suck eggs and they were the best.

Boo Berry is like the cereal equivalent of TAB. You can find it, but.

Root beer was my favorite too! Willy Wonka must have gone totally nuts and changed the formula. No wonder they're so hard to find now.

Boo Berry is the same absolutely wonderful stuff it was when we were kids. It's one of the few "foods" from then I still like.

I'm headed to Wal-mart Supercenter and/or Target this week. I just might eat Boo Berry for supper tonight.

He still has the box that I bought him last Halloween.

I'm sure it's beyond stale at the moment but he just can't bear the thought of parting with it.

[livejournal.com profile] jaymosch posted some info from this "Christian" group a while back. Apparently, Count Chocula is satanic. \m/

I buy them all the time when I actually buy cereal. Boo Berry is definitely the hardest to find, though.
