Big ups to
bellastrega for treating me to Ethiopian food for lunch. Till recently I'd have never thought I'd want to get near Ethiopian food, especially on my birthday, but it's good stuff.
Evil hexes on work for making me come back to finish out the day, especially on such a beautiful afternoon. Oh well. I do get a day off my birthday, but I decided not to take it today. I'll keep it for later in the month in case there's something I want to do.
I need to find something fun and healthy to do this weekend. I've kicked around the idea of going to NYC just to knock around. Can't really afford to, but what the hell, a few bucks ain't gonna make that much difference anyway. I need to get out and enjoy the weather before I'm plunged into the six-month hell of nor-easters and all that bullshit.
I've been a good boy since a major blowout last Saturday. Can't do it anymore, and I'm taking steps to ensure that I won't. 'Nuff said about that for now.
Has anyone else noticed the phrase "lived experience" popping up lately? I see it in academic writing quite a bit. It drives me up the wall. Isn't all experience lived? I mean, unless you're talking about zombies. And why aren't academics talking more about zombies, huh? Zombies are people too, and their experience is just as valid as anyone's, lived or not. POWER TO THE ZOMBIES.
