Oct. 18th, 2004 09:18 pmHehe--they just showed a Sox fan holding a sign that read, "I have unconditional love." That's kinda cool. Like, "OK, I know it's a lost cause, but I love you anyway." You wouldn't see that sign in just any crowd.
You have to hand it to the Red Sox for not completely folding after going down 3-0, particularly with the huge blowout of Game 3. I was thinking, though--you know what would be so totally Red Sox? For them to come back and win this series, only to lose the World Series to St. Louis or Houston. Sorta like THE great moment in modern Red Sox history, Carlton Fisk's home run that won Game 6 of the '75 World Series--which was followed by an excruciating loss in Game 7.
Huh huh huh, sports.
