chick tracts are love
brought to you by the isLove Generator

Heh. Couldn't resist that one. I kept thinking about doing one and tinkering with the code so it would say "hate is love," but this is way better and essentially says the same thing. How much more removed from love can you get than Chick tracts?

Dog help me, I've been watching VH-1 quite a bit over the last few days. I'm a sucker for those countdown shows, even if they are ridiculous. Remember their list of the top 100 metal moments? Yeah, their No. 1 metal moment was the recording of the Hear 'n Aid benefit song "Stars." Strangely enough, that tune ALSO turned up on their list of the 40 worst metal songs of all time.;) That is a pretty dumb song, though--check the lyrics. It tickles the shit out of me that Dio managed to work a rainbow in there.

The B, a former metal-head, spent all of T-giving AM watching that.

Ronnie James Dio is such a fraud.

And he's a NERD! He was interviewed a lot for at least one of those countdowns, and I couldn't get over how strange he seemed.

Dio, I mean, not the B.

Stars would've been a decent song if it weren't for the 15 guitar solos. Doh.

I find it ironic that Ronnie was in a band called Elf. Hee.

Hehe, me too! He should have just gone all the way and called his band Dragon Rainbow Midget.

HAHAHA!
I saw Dio by proxy in the 80's.
I was really going to see the opening acts - Megadeth and Savatage.
We didn't see much of the Dio show because the middle-aged group in front of us decided to leave early and gave us their back-stage passes.
Who knows how they got them.
So we left immediately for back-stage to meet Dave and the boys.

During the parts we did see of Dio, a big puppet spider had slowly been lowered from the light rafters which then had a laser battle with a giant praying mantis.
What the fuck?
It was a "bug-puppet battle in the dark!".
LOOK OUT!

HA! "LOOK OUT!" makes me think of M.O.D.'s "Ballad of Dio":
In the dark of the day
Or the black of the sun
He's coming for you

Look out!
