Happy Christmas to those of you who celebrate it, and Merry Saturday to the rest of ya. We rednecks are having a fine old time here at Grandmother's. We had our traditional breakfast of biscuits, sausage, scrambled eggs, and garlic grits. Turkey and dressing (not stuffing) to come later, so it only gets better.

Lots of good bounty. Mom gave me the boxed set of the first two Complete Peanuts books, and she and John wrote me a check to get an iPod with! (I think I'll actually get an iRiver, though.) Lots of nice clothes, too. You know you're getting old when you're really psyched about getting new boxer shorts. Oh yeah, and my stepbrother Grimmett sent me a book and a set of slang flashcards. :)

Heh. Just between you and me, I actually had the first book already, but I got that before I knew there was going to be a boxed set. I'd have felt silly buying the box for myself and ending up with a duplicate of the first book, but as a gift it's all good. :)
