wickedfleaPop and I went to an MSU basketball game the night I got into town. It was a lot of fun. I hadn't seen any sort of college sporting event since I left MS in 2001. I've gone to MSU sports my whole life, so I miss it a lot. We have a really good team this year, and I'm glad I got to see them. I would have liked to see a hotly contested game against an SEC opponent, but I had to settle for Florida A&M--which was fun in itself because the Dawgs scored over 100 and beat them by 25 points or so.
Anyway, one of the high points of the game was seeing this guy who has had the seats in front of ours for years. He has always brought chemistry journals to read and exams to grade during the games. Dad and I used to joke that I should grab him by the shoulder and ask, "Hey, is that the new Isotopes Today?!?" So I was unspeakably happy to see him at the game with his requisite reading material. Can you spot the stereotypical nerd accessory?
I ordered my iRiver mp3 today. 40 gb of goodness should be here Tuesday. w00t!
I also took a picture of Dad and me at the game. It's quite a bit less than flattering; Dad looks toothless and I look like I weigh 800 pounds. I swear the picture is misleading in both respects.
