wickedfleaIt's been really quiet around here today. Half the department is out. *checks clock* ACK, only 2 o'clock! Oh well, I skipped lunch, so I'm heading out at four.
I think I'm going to go on the sunflower seed diet. All I've had to eat today is sunflower seeds, and they're doing surprisingly well at helping me fend off hunger pangs. Come to think of it, I was actually on a sunflower seed and beer diet from about August of 1994 'til late 1996, and I lost a hell of a lot of weight. If it hadn't been for all that Natural Light, I'd have wasted away completely. (More likely, I might have eaten a meal from time to time.)
Speaking of beer, did you ever drink beer and tomato juice? Yes, together in the same glass -- roughly half and half. I used to drink that when my stomach was in really bad shape. Ack.
That reminds me of old Craig Relda Clark, who used to drink bloody marys with bacon. Not as a garnish or anything like that -- he would put it and all the other ingredients into a blender, purée it all up, and drink it with gusto. Relda never got me to try that one; I could never get over the notion that I would actually be drinking meat. Relda was the same dude who said he came from a town where it was perfectly normal to have sex with farm animals.
