By the way, you should move back to VA and live in a cabin with me. I need some liberals around besides my parents. We could sit on the porch and whittle wood and make airplanes out of aluminum cans and sell them at craft fairs.

You think that together we could fight off the gun nuts and mountain rednecks? The couple of years I lived there just about killed me--the breed of redneck was different from what I was used to in MS.

It's definitely tempting, though. I can definitely use some porch-sitting right about now. And the aluminum-can thing is in my blood--my uncle used to have a fucking HAT made out of yarn and Coors cans.

I think we could fight them off just fine. What we have to do is find the intelligent rednecks (and yes, there is such a thing), like the people in the rich horse towns and the lone artists and such.

I would totally wear your uncle's hat. I found a couple cabins in the Shenandoah Valley we could live in. Complete with front porches.
