Apr. 6th, 2005 05:39 pmSome of the recent posts in
foundphotos made me think about how I dig those really old photographs in which people thought up and enacted goofy, elaborate set-ups. Like check this out. These are two of my great-great aunts with their mother--or maybe grandmother. Not sure. Looks like they'd cooked up some kind of shotgun-wedding scheme, but they didn't have a shotgun, so the old woman had to threaten the other two with some sort of staff. Clem and Elgie was in e-motherfuckin-ffect back in rural Mississippi in the '20s. Gender bending and all that.
