My dog, I think I'm gonna make it. I'm finished up at work save for a little computer cleanup and bringing a couple of boxes of books home (like I need more of those), and a heckuva lot of packing is done here at the apartment. It looks like a war zone in here, but scrangely I can see the light. So I'm gonna go turn the amp up to about eleven and a half and rock the gonads off these mothers. The next tune you hear will be "Children of the Grave."

Please to be ignoring my filthy pockets.

My schwag. Also got some Netflix months! These folks know me pretty well. We had a very nice party and I was able to make a parting speech without weeping any big honky tears. Came close, though. :P

Yes indeedy--I didn't tell 'em I already had the mp3age from mah fren. :P I dig it, too! It's a little corny, but I can take that from Neil cuz it's heartfelt and it hits me in the right place.

I really want to get his Prairie Wind CD. I keep listening to Far From Home and it too is corny but in a nostalgic way that I love.

I always thought Neil Young's "corniest" album was the one he made to get out of his contract with Geffen Records in the 80's... "Everybody's Rockin' "... also thought it was one of his best... with the "rockabilly" sound and all...

Yap, Neil does corny better than just about anybody. Gotta love him. =)

I should've known there would be at least one Peanuts-related item in there. :D

You remind me a little of Jack Black in the pic.

Hehe! I can see that. Tenacious Flea!

Funny story: I had ended up with two copies of the first book in the Peanuts collection that's coming out in 25 volumes over 12.5 years or whatever. (I'd bought the first one when it came out, then got the boxed set of the first two at xmas.) So when I had lunch with my boss the other day, she told me that her son Leo, who's about 10, is into Peanuts and has all these questions like how much older than Sally is Charlie Brown, etc., etc. So I brought in my extra copy and inscribed for her to give to him. Well, today when I opened my gifts, sure enough, they'd given me the newest volume that you see there--and they'd already bought it when I was giving my boss the book for Leo! So yeah, they know I love the good stuff. =)

Here's me and Leo discussing our books. I think I'm saying "Shermy" right here. =)

Look at you in your Snoopy tie. How handsome! (not looking at the pockets)

I'm so happy for you! I know you'll miss She of the Coulottes. You'll just have to get over it. Somehow I think you'll manage.

Children of the Grave. Nice! Rock on! \m/

Thank you, dear! I'm a happy boy. But yes, I got all weepy when I realized that She of the Culottes isn't going to be critiquing my "confederate profile" any more--but I shall carry on. ;)
