wickedflea: (i want hasenpfeffer)

So I found out why Lonzie wasn't eating: he didn't like his BOWLS. Oh yes. Night before last, he spilled his water all over the kitchen floor twice (while keeping the bowl upright, which I haven't quite figured out yet). Then, yesterday when I went home for lunch, I found this:

Lonzie's Carnage

I guess he just didn't like the wimpy bowls I was using, and he went in there and had a fit of rage. A couple of times Wednesday night, I did hear him yelling "MOTHERFUCK THIS SHIT," but I just figured he was pissed off because he couldn't find anything good on TV.

Anyway, I got him some more suitable options for his food and drink, and he took to them right away and seems happy as a clam. He sends you all his eternal love and utmost respect.

Oh, yeah. Styro bowls they do not like... it makes their whiskers fizz up with the static, yo.

Glad you figured out what Lonzie needs. He'll have you trained soon.

Well, they're plastic, really--but way cheap Family Dollar specials.

Are those STYROFOAM BOWLS?! You nitwit. ;)

Get ceramic or metal bowls, not plastic...plastic pet bowls are notorious for hosting bacteria.

Nooooo, they're plastic! And they weren't intended to be permanent, but I figured he could use them for the time being. I found out different. :)

HUSH! Other cats I've known have always used little plastic bowls. How was I gonna know I was gonna get one of these new-school spoiled cats?

Almost as bad as my cat. He won't drink water from a bowl. He'll only drink from coffee cups placed on tables...

Haha! I think I saw him drinking out of one on the coffee table on your webcam one day.

Bogie does the same damn thing. He only drinks out of these rather narrow and short drinking glasses (which means his tongue can only lap up about a forth of the water because the glasses are too narrow) or out of the tub.

If he doesn't get his fix from the tub faucet at least twice a day, he seeks revenge by knocking over my own drinking glass. Man o man, I hate that. I hear 'clink!' and I know my floor is now soaked with whatever was in my glass. And if I don't hear the 'clink', then I feel it when my socks are wet. boo!

Damn cats. : )

Hahha, Bogie! Yeah, Lonzie sniffs after my drinking cups by the bed, but I have been able to shoo him away so far. I'm sure it won't be long till I wake up to a bedside table full of water!

Wet feet! Yep, I'm already getting used to that.

mmm. try a clear bowl for the water. some animals have no depth perception and therefore need to shake to water to drink it, causing it to spill. this is also why they like running water. good luck!

Thanks, ma'am. :) I actually got him one of these waterer things that has the reservoir, so it's heavy enough to stay in place. He seems to dig it! He still splashes some, but I can deal with that as long as I don't have Lonzie Lake in the kitchen every few hours.

Awww, tee hee welcome to pussy-whipped world. My kitties now have a water-fall water bowl,(they love it!) and feeder bowls. Not to mention glass plates for moist food. I also have ceramic and stainless steel.
Yep, have fun!
Have you turned him on to the "drugs" yet.

Gotta get some 'nip.
Thats some serious fun.

whipped, that's me

He's weird--he doesn't want anything to do with moist food, tuna, cat treats, OR catnip! I think I'll eventually get him one of those fountain thingies for his water, though, and see how he likes that.

How old is he? Cause my kitties didn't like catnip when they were under a year, but now, I am thier pusher.
