It's probably not as good as the thing you're looking at, but I've had a lot of fun with it. Great for practicing. And I'm not really a tone snob, so the sounds it gets are plenty good enough for me.
I thought about buying a Pandora a few years ago. I think The Nuge owns one. Wango tango! ;)
I was going to buy a cheaper Line 6 model called a Toneport. The damn software neede to run it eats up an assload of memory, though. The Pod XT runs through a USB port and I can use it like a soundcard. Now if I can just learn how to play leads that don't sound like a little kid falling down over and over. ;)
What's cool about the Pod is you can download free sounds off the web, and they just released a free update with additional amps/effects. :) You can use it with software, or just stick with the hardware (when it comes to editing, that is).
