I saw the MSU marching band play "Don't Fear the Reaper" this weekend. This at a university where football fans routinely ring cowbells.

They rocked it pretty well--they even did that spacey freakout part in the middle--but I was disappointed that nobody seemed to recognize the significance of the song! I yelled, "I NEED MORE COWBELL," but people just thought I was full of Bulldog spirit.

I know I keep talking about the marathon I ran, and I am sorry to be "all about me" ... but I totally cracked up because there were cowbells all over the place and right at the start line... someone yelled " I need more cowbells".

Slayed me.

Haha, awesome! I've never heard of cowbells at a marathon--is that a typical thing?

I don't know. This was a first for me. I just totally cracked up. I heard them everywhere... but someone screaming "I need more cowbell." was the BEST!!!
