Nov. 6th, 2006 04:10 pmI was thinking about seeing Running with Scissors tonight, but I've heard it's not very good. I loved the book, and I'll be fracked off if they've butchered it, so I should skip it, right?
LiveJournal comments is all jumble up lately.
I asked a couple of people whether my car would be safe in town this week with the Mississippi St. stickers on it. All I got was, "Welllllll . . ."

List of movies I've seen in the theater this year, mostly for my own reference:
Hostel
Brokeback Mountain
Walk the Line
Capote
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Tristram Shandy
The World's Fastest Indian
The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrades
TransAmerica
Full Metal Jacket (yeah, it's old, but I still seen it on the big screen this year)
Heart of Gold
Thank You for Smoking
Match Point
V for Vendetta
The Notorious Bettie Page
Talladega Nights
Clerks II
Snakes on a Plane
Jackass 2
The Black Dahlia
Little Miss Sunshine
Borat
What's that, 22 movies? That's insane. Prior to this year, I doubt I'd seen 22 movies in the theater EVER. Well, maybe, but not many more.
Oh, shit. I just checked the listings, and Running with Scissors isn't even playing in town. Maybe I'll try Birmingham this weekend if I decide I do want to see it.
OK, enough disjointed odds and ends.

Date: 2006-11-07 12:16 am (UTC)After reading the write-up for Running with Scissors, it sounded like, if given the choice between slamming my dick in a car door or watching this movie, I'd seriously have to consider the pros and cons.

Date: 2006-11-07 01:35 am (UTC)I'm sure I'll end up seeing Scissors. I think I'm just preparing myself not to like it, as I often do with screen versions of books I like.
