Man, I am having a hard time getting geared up today. I stayed true to the plan and did not one thing over Thanksgiving break in Starkville. I managed to go to Oby's Saturday night with Dad, and that was about it. Oh yeah, and I reclaimed my Boggle championship by mopping the floor with me mum. She whooped me the last time we played, but I dogged her out this time.

Mom suggested that we should go see Bobby, but I just couldn't get past the cast--not to mention the fact that Emilio Estevez wrote and directed it. Double E is the same mastermind responsible for Men at Work and Rated X--need I say more?

The Alabama campus is all atitter because the football coach has been fired. I didn't hear this much fuss about the election a few weeks ago. Of course, this is much more serious business--it is Tuscaloosa, after all.

CNN.com reports that "All My Children" is featuring a transgender character making the transition from man to woman. They say this is a first. How can that be? Soaps have people coming back from the dead, marrying their own mothers, all kinds of wacky shit--but they've never thought of this? Weird.

A man in South Carolina got into a fight with his friend over a $20 football bet. He reportedly told the killer, "You can't shoot me, I'm invisible!" Evidently, the shotgun blast proved him wrong.

This guy is killing me (ganked from [livejournal.com profile] filthymonkey):

I was watching an interview with Emilio the other day, and he didn't work for about ten years (due to appearing in three Mighty Ducks movies, I'm guessing). He said he would get calls occasionally, but they were for movies that were "embarrassing" according to him. Hee.

I didn't know Boggle was still popular. Occasionally, I see a commercial for it.

Is Mike Shula the son of Don Shula?

?! People getting shot over a $20 bet? Yeesh. I can't figure out some humans.

Haw! Man, those movies must have been wretched if they embarrassed Emilio.

Yep, Mike Shula is Don's son. That, and the fact that he played quarterback here in the '80s (Bama is big on carrying on The Tradition and hiring Bama Boys), is probably a big reason why he got the job.

I didn't say that Boggle is popular, just that Mom and I play it. ;) She's the only person I've ever played with except for two people at my last job who I used to beat like rented mules.
