I used the heater last night. I'm so ashamed. :( It's actually only the second time I've used it this winter. And that's not because I'm cheap--I just like the room to be cold as fuck when I sleep so I can bundle up under the covers. Also, I wanted to be all bad-ass in my first winter back in the South and be able to say that I went the whole winter without having to turn the heat on. But I used the heat a bit last night, and wouldja believe I had the best night's sleep I've had in weeks? Hmmm. Maybe there's something to be said for not having the bedroom the temperature of a meat locker at night.

Lots o' dreams, but I don't remember none too well, so yous is saved another dream recap. Lucky yous.

What the hell ever happened to Eddie Murphy? You know, the funny one. I watched his "Delirious" concert movie from the early '80s the other night and laughed my ass off. That guy was only 22 at the time, and he just went out there and OWNED. And yesterday I saw an ad for Norbit, in which he plays, among other roles, a big fat woman. Like, dude--hasn't Martin Lawrence already done that schtick? TWICE? Sigh. Oscar nomination or no, poor Eddie hasn't been funny in years, which is sad, because he used to be amazing.

In other news, a cow has attacked a man and killed him to death. (No, I don't normally read Fox News.)

Eddie stopped being funny at "The Golden Child". I remember being in high school, watching that movie and thinking, "Yeah, the funny's all gone." By the way, in that one he and Arsenio Hall each did multiple roles; so technically Martin lifted the idea from him. It still blew chunks, though.

Yeah, really I was never into any of his movies (Coming to America excepted, although I don't know how it would hold up if I saw it today)--just his standup and SNL stuff, I guess.

I loved his stand-up and SNL work, and both Beverly Hills Cop movies were funny (not AS funny, but still). That's about it for me, though.

You're right; it was Coming, not Golden, with him and Arsenio. Mea culpa.

I think it all went downhill for Eddie after he got arrested for picking up a tranvestite ho in Hollywood. ;)

It's like a Flannery O'Conner story.

Haha, it does! No wonder I got such a perverse kick out of it.
