i can't go ANYWHERE without getting panhandled lately. and they all have the same story--starving family, just driving through, ran out of gas. at least in new haven i could get a chaucer reading from the shakespeare lady for my loose change.

Hey there were all these panhandlers I saw here a week ago that needed to get to Florida so they are probably passing through Alabama this week after getting enough money to get that far. Hmmm... You think?

I think this is a good idea for a documentary. Start with a car with at least 150,000 miles on it and an empty tank of gas and no money and see if you can get to Disney World and back from Houston by panhandling.
