i can't go ANYWHERE without getting panhandled lately. and they all have the same story--starving family, just driving through, ran out of gas. at least in new haven i could get a chaucer reading from the shakespeare lady for my loose change.

it's the same in Oregon. Apparently, somewhere in the world are a whole bunch of hungry families that ran out of gas.
