This is a sign outside a church near my pad. Is this weird? I can't tell anymore.

Yes, it's weird. And where are Gomez and Morticia? That's the weirdest part. Are they like Adam and Eve?

They're hiding with the second D in "Addams"

If Adam and Eve were like Gomez and Morticia, no wonder we all turned out the way we did :-p

It's weird, but in one of those "I'm trying to be funny here" ways.

I am now scratching my head in perplexion. How does the Addam's family have anything to do with church? And where are Gomez and Morticia?

I think it's supposed to be the family of Adam. Like Adam and Eve. Apparently Morticia was not tapped to play Eve in this production, however.

However strange, though, I do like that they chose to do it on Wednesdays.

A little bit, yes.

The weird part...

The weird part, to me, is that they spent a significant amount of money on at least one if not two 4x8' vinyl signs to promote a 4-week sermon series. But, evangelical churches are known to spend a lot of money on image. Works, too. Their numbers are massive versus the more staid denoms.

The use of the Addams Family imagery is most likely to attract attention, but it's a pun on a couple of levels, if it must be admitted. Theologically speaking, we're all creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky (altogether ooky) because of the effect of original sin on humanity.

Well maybe its weird but it worked, right? At least it gets the 'buzz' going...

Anyway I hate everything I don't understand, so I am no fan.
