Fuckin' hell, Madonna didn't even know who she was introducing. "Iggy Pop," she says. Yes, Iggy's the singer, but the band is the Stooges. So much for her punk cred.

It was really weird seeing Madonna meet Mike Watt backstage, too. I'm sure she had no idea he was one of the dudes in Ciccone Youth.

p.s. Isn't that Mike Watt talking on Sonic Youth's "Providence"? It took me years to figure out that sound was the air going past an open car window. Hee.

I think the world is going to hell and the last 24 hours proves it. Between the Yankees and the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame, I'm just about ready to call it quits. I guess just anyone can join anything, now. Hell... I think I'll join the Rockettes! Won't that be great with me and my cane.
