I'm so tired of hearing about this salmonella business. Are they saying now that it may not have even been tomatoes in the first place??? I want to sit in the middle of Central Park and eat nothing but fresh salsa for a month like some kind of inane David Blaine stunt just to protest the idiocy. HOWEVER, I have also heard that cilantro may be a culprit. If all the salmonella fearmongering erases the foulest of herbs from the face of the earth, then this all will have been a Good Thing.

I've eaten salads with the dreaded "regular" tomatoes, and I'm still here. :)

I don't mind cilantro, but I think it's overrated.

Yeah, I've been buying tomatoes and not thinking twice about it. I got over being afeared of filth in my food years ago. :D

And yeah, that's one of the things that bugs me about cilantro (second, of course, to the taste)--that everybody just thinks they're so SUPER SPECIAL because they put CILANTRO in something. Even Taco Bell discovered it years ago, Trixie. It's not new.

Man, I've really got a screw loose about this herb, don't I?
