I actually don't hate the new Metallica album. What a shocking development.

Indeed! I never could listen to more than about a second and a half of that album before convulsing with laughter over the snare sound.

Yeah, more like the classic stuff than anything they've done in a looooooong time. It's still no Master of Puppets, but it DOES sound like a pretty good metal band, which is a turn I thought they'd never take again.

Yeah, I found it at Mininova, and the many seeders means I'll have it in a few minutes.

The truth is, I never liked Metallica much. I own none of their albums and probably wouldn't think to buy any.

They were pretty much my favorite band in high school, but I walked out of one of their shows in '92 or so and have hated everything they've done since.

Well, yeah. Cliff was and is my favorite bass player. This doesn't touch anything they did with him, and nothing they do from here on out ever will, but I'm just saying it's better than the shit on the Black Album and everything since.
