Jul. 15th, 2002 12:39 pmI had one of those weird back-in-high-school dreams. Or, as
albert71292 would say, "dreams." Anyway, I had this really hard-ass dude for English, and he gave us this really hard-ass exam. I hadn't read any of the material, but somehow I was able to squeak a 75 out of it. It was embarrassing, though -- by all my wrong answers and half-baked interpretations he had written stuff like, "No!!! What are you THINKING?" And plus, many of my classmates had totally dominated me. I remember thinking, "Geez, I got along a lot better not reading the books when I was in graduate school!"

I remember being in this one guy's class and thinking it was going to be IMPOSSIBLE until I realized that all I had to do was speak his language -- just talk a bunch of shit about hermeneutics and semiotics and get an A. I ended up taking that dude for three classes!
