Hey
buscemi (or anyone else who might know), do you remember a Peanuts character ever dying? Someone sent me this e-mail, and I think she and her dad are probably on goofballs or mixing up Peanuts with Marmaduke or Wizard of Id or some shit.

subject: peanuts related question
Ok, I read you rpage, and I have a bizarre question. Was there a story line that was based on a death of someone close to Charles Schultz? We are trying to figure this out, my dad seems to remember a very sad story when he was growing up, and can't remember alot about it. Thanks for your time.

Date: 2004-08-09 08:15 pm (UTC)And yeah, I don't remember the other movie, but I think I remember the strips it was based on! I just remember Charlie Brown being in the hospital, and they didn't know what was wrong with him, and in one strip Lucy was all bent out of shape about it, wondering how such a good person could get sick, and it ended with Lucy pounding her fist and saying, "I need somebody to HIT!"

Date: 2004-08-09 08:22 pm (UTC)I replied to the person who emailed me, though, and she said that wasn't what her dad remembered. I'll bet anything he got it confused with Snuffy Smith or Hagar or something.
