Since I'm mildly allergic to melons, I never paid a lot of attention, but when I was a kid there was something called a "musk mellon" in the stores in the summertime.
Is that the same thing or a different beast alltogether?
Not sure. My mom says that there's something called a mushmelon, but it's different from a cantaloupe. But I was just looking around online, and it seems that muskmelons and cantaloupes are the same thing. So I dunno! Maybe there's muskmelon/cantaloupe and then there's mushmelon.
