That whole teenaged-lj-user-kills-mom thing is wild. But do we really need a community dedicated to it?

The best comment I saw (I forgot where) about the whole thing was "LiveJournal has now officially jumped the shark."

YEp---Jumped the shark---I'd say those are my feelings. I suppose it is the inevitable nature of anything successful--it can't sustain that success forever. I sometimes yearn for the good old days of only 10,000 users.

How elitist of you. :P Nah, I know what you mean, though. I've often wondered what my user # would be if I'd started my account when I first started reading LJs, cuz I was lurking for a few months before I made my account.

No really a few years ago I felt I knew the people and had a sense of their character now I see lots of people writing things that maaaaybe don't need to be documented. I dunno.
