I think the best word that I remember from childhood is "flickded." That's how I like to spell it, anyway. In the fourth grade, I didn't know that it was supposed to be "'flicted," as in "afflicted." I didn't know where it came from, just that it meant "weird" or something like it, and it sounded like it should be spelled "flickded."

Flickded. Boy ya flickded, boy ya flickded.

Haha! I can still hear this little girl saying that to someone back in the day. She put sort of a "W" sound in "boy," like "Bway ya flickded, bway ya flickded."

Yes, I'm completely cracked. We know this.

I was wondering the same thing, but I asked my friend from RI if she'd heard it, and she said that she had. Maybe it was a '70s/'80s thing that went by the wayside? I dunno. It's flickded.
